A beautiful 18th century mansion, surrounded by a large park, with a swimming pool and pool house ( including cooking facilities ) and a tennis court. Forty minutes from Turin, the home is just south of Ivrea, en route to the Monte Blanc tunnel. It is one and a half hours from the mountain site of the Olympics, and not far from the lakes of Orta and Maggiore.The home can be rented by the week, or for a shorter period upon request. The home is furnished with lovely antiques, and decorated with frescoes. There are large sitting rooms and terraces. The hospitable owners live in one section of the home; the area available for rent spreads out over three floors. The ground floor has two large sitting rooms and a library, a dining room, kitchen, and a small bathroom, and two adjacent bedrooms, a double and a single, with one bathroom. The second floor has two large double bedrooms, each of which has an adjacent single bedroom, and a bathroom. The third floor has two double bedrooms, each with its own bath, and a sitting room. The house is lovely from spring until October, and conveniently located for winter skiing in both the Mont Blanc area and the Susa valley. Domestic help is available. The kitchen has a dish washer, and a washing machine; domestic service is available.There are excellent family restaurants and wine producers in the area.
